Loah x Grace Percival

Grace Percival is a designer, artist, and illustrator based down in Brighton. Originally trained as a textile designer she's now moved from solely fashion prints to a much wider spectrum. She's loving it, and we're loving her work.

Where do you live, and what's good?

I moved from London and wasn’t ready to give up the city lifestyle; Brighton has that buzz with the added bonus of the sea. Nothing better than walking down to the beach, then chilling out with a wine The Well. A bar with gorgeous antiques always takes the win for me.

Your artistic
style is...

Now I’m focusing more on illustrations rather than print design I’ve found that my style's a real mix of brush strokes, pops of colour colour, and minimalism.

How do you get into a creative frame of mind?

I walk to my desk space via the beach listening to a podcast every morning, it’s bliss. Also, window shopping ceramics online A LOT. They heavily feature in a lot of my work.

Artist, musician, book you're on right now...

Kate Boxer // Loyle Carner // Bella Mackie - How To Kill Your Family.

Where or what is blue sky to you?

Anywhere where there are lots of flowers, Dulwich park when the rhododendrons have bloomed is my happy place.

Favourite thing of this year so far?

Dancing with some of my favourite people to the Mariachis at Glastonbury.

To see more of Grace you can head to another of her favourite spots, Plateau Brighton (seriously recommend), to check out some of her latest work (and drink some delicious wine while you're there 😉).
